The EasyStand/Altimate Medical 5000 Youth is a stander for children age 8 years to small adult. Finally there is a stander that provides a convenient solution for the pre-adolescent and small adult client involved in a standing program. The 5000 Youth stander is uniquely designed for individuals 48"-66" (122-168 cm) in height, weighing a maximum of 180 lbs. 82 kg).
The standard model of the EasyStand/Altimate Medical 5000 Youth stander is intended to be used by people with good upper body strength and balance and do not require additional trunk support. Additional accessories, however, can be purchased to provide just the right amount of trunk, hip, and head support for those with more severe levels of physical involvement. The 5000 Youth stander’s modular design also allows for specific adjustments to be made for use with people who have mild, moderate, or severe levels of physical involvement.
Adjustments for height, seat height, front pad depth range from the desk or table, and kneepad width and depth are made easily with the 5000 Youth stander. All seat depth, footplate, and tray height and depth adjustments require no tools to reconfigure so the 5000 Youth is ideal for the growing individual or for multiple users. Best of all, the hydraulic actuator allows the person to pump himself up from a sitting to standing position independently. From a functional standpoint, this hydraulic actuator helps individuals maximize their independence in all self-care areas from the kitchen to the classroom. Even transfers from wheelchairs to the seating surface of the 5000 Youth stander are safer and easier than ever before!
