NOTE: Wenzelite is in the process of redesigning this product. It will be on backorder until at least late August! The Wenzelite MSS Adaptive Seating System with Low Base is designed for a wide range of children with moderate to severe involvement.
The MSS Adaptive Adaptivem Seating System is a multiple support chair provides a variety of sitting positions including tilt (orientation in space) and recline.
In its tilt-in-space base, the chair tilts back 45°. The seat back adjusts to a 10° recline feature relative to the seating surface.
The MSS Adaptive Seating System is adjustable in depth from 5"-14" (13-35 cm), and the back height can be adjusted up and down from 10"-12.5" (25.5-32 cm). Lateral trunk supports are adjustable in height and width. Armrests and tray are height and angle adjustable, and both the headrest and footrest are height and depth adjustable.
This Adaptive Seating System can be configured several ways. By itself, the tilt-in-space base and chair make a Floor Sitter, and can be placed in any room in the home or within a classroom. Secondly, when the MSS Adaptive Seating System is placed in the low mobile base (included), it becomes a Mobile Floor Sitter. This feature is important when you need to move the child quickly without disturbing the child's position. Great for fire drills at school! Thirdly, the MSS Adaptive Chair can be removed from the tilt-in-space base and placed on any chair for dining and family activities by securing it with the optional Booster Kit (listed below). The last configuration is as a stroller with the Optional Traveler Stroller Base (listed below).
