Wheelchair, Convaid Convertible Bus Transport
 Convertible-Bus Transport bus/van tie-down Wheelchair models from Convaid, have been satisfactorily crash-tested at 30 mph, 20g deceleration in a forward-facing configuration using a five-point tie-down system. The wheelchair headrest extension is standard equipment and should be used at all times when in tie-down position.
For independent mobility or just working on building upper body strength and endurance, just snap on the large rear wheels and the Convertible becomes a wheelchair. If the need for dependent mobility arises, then snap off the larger wheelchair wheels and it becomes a compact, foldable “umbrella-type” stroller.
No need to buy a new wheelchair after a growth spurt either. Simple adjustments can be made to the Convertible wheelchair to ensure a proper fit for your growing child and to save you money.
Best of all, the Convertible wheelchair assures parents and therapists of optimal positioning and support through it’s patented frame and folding mechanism. This frame helps keep fabric taut while the person is seated, unlike some folding wheelchairs that tend to fold when seated and cause injury or poor posture. This frame is so strong that it can also accept more involved custom seating systems if needed.

“Thigh Depth” should be equal to or greater than the “Seat Depth” (within + or – 1 inch) to promote a proper seating position
Also pay close attention to “Hip Width”, “Seat Back Height”, and “User Weight Capacity” for proper sizing
