Hi! My name is Emily and I am 9 years old. When mommy was pregnant, she found out that I was going to have some challenges growing up. At 9 months old the doctors told mommy that I would always be physically and mentally challenged. It took me a long time to do what most babies do easily. Even though my life has been hard, I am as happy as can be. About a year ago the doctors told mommy that I would always be about two-and-a half years old mentally. I will always keep my childhood innocence.
The one thing that I have never had is a bicycle. I see them in the stores and ask to ride. My body just isn't supported by a regular bicycle. I fall off. It would mean so much to me to have a bicycle. My mommy has kept my life as "normal" as possible compared to my peers. I am treated no different than any other kids. I would love to ride to the park with my brother and sister! Thank you to everyone who helped me reach my goal! I am so excited to get my bike!!
