The Small Rifton Blue Wave Toileting System is recommended for children with mild to moderate physical involvement. The target user age range is approximately 1 to 8 years old. Made of highly durable, latex-free polypropylene materials, the Rifton Blue Wave Toileting System can function as a freestanding commode, over-the-toilet commode, a mounted toilet support seat, and a rolling shower chair.
Adjustability is what makes the Rifton Blue Wave Toileting System such a convenient and long-lasting toilet seating system for children with special needs. The seat is height and depth adjustable for the growing child. The footboard is also height adjustable for proper lower body alignment and comfort. For use as a freestanding commode, the seat can be lowered, allowing the child’s feet to touch the ground.
The Rifton Blue Wave Toileting System also allows you to adjust the seat depth to 2 different settings for optimal positioning results. The backrest can be adjusted from 5° of forward tilt to a 5° or 15° backward tilt from the vertical. The seat is designed with a 5° backward slope to encourage good positioning.
As your child grows, don’t worry about costly replacements. Rifton has designed the Small Blue Wave Toileting System to grow with your child for up to 7 years of future use. The small Blue Wave seat can be replaced with the large seat right on the small frame, eliminating the need to purchase a new, larger replacement toileting system. Once your child has graduated to the larger Blue Wave Toileting seat, less costly replacements can be made for a large backrest and anterior support if desired.
The seat and backrest assembly can also be folded and hung on a wall hook for storage when not being used.
Easy-to-clean, the Rifton Blue Wave Toileting System can be rolled into the shower for thorough cleanings or simply for use as a mobile shower chair, too!

The Mounting Bar is easy to install and can be left on the toilet when it is not being used with the Rifton Blue Wave Toilet Seat. It is small enough that it will not get in the way of others using the toilet. Having an extra Mounting Bar will let you keep one at Grandma’s house or the babysitters house. All you need to bring with you is the light-weight Rifton Blue Wave Toilet Seat.
The Mounting Bar is usable for toilets 14½" or narrower at the seat bolts. The Mounting Bar holes are designed for bolts up to ½" diameter, spaced anywhere from 5½" to 7¼" apart.
