The Special Tomato Multi-Positioning Seat CAR SEAT Version provides a solution if you plan to use the MPS only in the car.

The Special Tomato Multi-Positioning Seat CAR SEAT Version has been designed to offer comfortable and proper positioning support in the car.

The soft, lightweight, and durable modular seating surface cushions allow for individualized adjustment. Seating surface modules are soft for comfort, but are supported by the seat shell to maintain position. Cushions are made from a new latex-free material that is not only soft, but is tough and durable to withstand deflating, cracking, and is impermeable to fluids.

The Special Tomato Multi-Positioning Seat features a size choice of a contoured Seat Cushion complete with the Hip-Flex™ adjustment that pivots 30 degrees to adjust the seat-to-back angle for proper alignment of your child's pelvis.

Now you have your choice between two height adjustable and contoured Head Supports. If your child needs more lateral support, the Lateral Head Support is a great option to try!



The Special Tomato Multi-Positioning Seat offers years of growth for your child. This unique design allows you to make simple adjustments to the Head & Back Cushions as your child grows. In addition, there are two Seat Cushion sizes allowing you to increase the seat width and depth for an average of 7 years of growth.

The Seat Cushions use hook and loop and our track system for easy adjustment. The Hip-Flex™ adjustment provides a range of positions between 15 degrees of hip flexion and 15 degrees of hip extension without reclining the seat back. This system allows true seat back angle adjustments while maintaining upper body alignment by changing the orientation of your child's pelvis.

There is a choice of two Seat Cushion sizes allowing you to get the most growth possible out of this seating system. View the size chart to determine which size Seat Cushion will be the most appropriate for your child's needs. Make sure you select the correct one when ordering.

Please Note: The Special Tomato MPS is not available for use in CANADA as a Restraint System for Persons with a Disability in a motor vehicle.


Please Note: NHSTA School Bus Rules/Regulations do not include special needs car seat regulations for children over 40 lbs. The MPS Car Seat is not tested for INSTALLATION DIRECTLY INTO A SCHOOL BUS SEAT. Please note that we do offer the Push Chair Kit which conforms to WC19 standards for use with a tie down system in transport.

Please Note: There is a 10-year Expiration Date for the MPS Car Seat and the MPS Push Chair Kits for use during transportation! The MPS Seat itself can be used beyond 10 years with the Wooden Mobile Base or attached to a standard chair for more than 10 years!

    • Please Note: The Special Tomato® Multi-Positioning Seat is now designed for use as a standalone car seat. As of October 1, 2003, Small MPS systems have been shipped as car seats. As of December 1, 2003, all Large MPS systems have been shipped as car seats.

    Please Note: The Special Tomato MPS Car Seat is US FMVS213 compliant - meeting all requirements for car seats designed for children weighing up to 80 pounds for the Small Size and 150 pounds for the Large Size. The LATCH System can be used to anchor the Special Tomato MPS as a car seat for children up to 50 lbs. If your vehicle does not have LATCH System or for children weighing from 50 lbs. to 150 lbs., a vehicle lap/shoulder belt must be used. The tether system must be installed at ALL times when using your Special Tomato MPS as a car seat. (Special Tomato MPS Small & Large seats purchased before October, 2003 dates are not suitable for use as a car seat.)



    The Special Tomato MPS has been successfully tested and Approved for aircraft travel (FAA approved). This includes all systems ordered April 1, 2006 and later.

    Receiving Dock Do you have a Receiving Dock? Due to the cumbersome size and weight of certain products (For example: Item #A5568-05 - Vestibulator III & Item #A5568-10 - Vestibulator IV) the manufacturer requires a Moving Company deliver these products if you do not have a receiving dock!.





    Receiving Dock delivery is for safety and costs an extra $275.00. This delivery service includes:

    • Delivery by a moving company.

    • The movers will consolidate the order.

    • Delivery inside to room of choice.

    • Removal of rubbish.

    • Light assembly services
