For adolescents and teens that need a seating system, the Updown Chair is a great solution. The Updown Chair was designed for children ages 5 to 14 years.
For children with special needs, positioning is key to their independence. The Updown chair provides support in sitting while offering a simple adjustment to change the seat height from 12” (30 cm) to 26” (66 cm). By using the foot lever, your child’s seat height can be changed in seconds with a pneumatic cylinder assist. This versatility removes physical barriers from activities on desks to activities on the floor that can sometimes interfere with a child’s development.
In addition, the Updown Chair has a Tilt-in-Space Seat that can be moved from 0 degrees to 25 degrees with just the push of a button. Other standard features are:
