Width Adjustable Thoracic Lateral Support

The optional Height and Width Adjustable Fixed/Rigid Thoracic Lateral Support(s) can be added to the Height Adjustable Solid Back System of the Convaid Trekker. They provide support to the sides of the trunk to improve alignment and promote an upright posture. When used as a pair, the width adjustment of the Lateral Supports can be used to decrease the seat back width. One Lateral Support can be purchased if your child needs support on only one side. 

Choice of Pad Sizes are as follows:

• 4 in.(d) x 4.5 in. (h)
• 5 in.(d) x 4.5 in. (h)
• 6 in.(d) x 4.5 in. (h)

Please note: Depth of Laterals is reduced by 1in. with back upholstery.

Thoracic Lateral Supports can help minimize scoliotic tendencies seen in mild to moderately involved users. This is especially true when Lateral Supports are used in conjunction with Pelvic Supports.
