I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at age 2. I fought through many surgeries and illnesses and always pulled through. Some of them were very scary but my Mom always prays for me and she knows I can make it through anything!
Even though I can't completely control my muscles and movement, I always try my best. Sometimes it takes me a really long time to learn something but I just need you to be patient with me and have faith in me. I don't talk, but I do communicate in my own way and i understand what you are saying. Those the closest to me can really understand my facial expressions and eye gazes. So even though I don't say anything back to you, or I look away while you talk, please know that I do hear you and i do understand you. Like I said, sometimes my muscles just don't work the way I want them to.
So people always wonder what to surprise me with on my birthday or Christmas or just because. Please know that I appreciate all the thoughtful gifts I get
My favorite colors are...all colors but Mom says I look extra handsome when I wear yellow, orange or green
My favorite hobbies...I love to use my Walker and listen to music. And I like going to the parks that have special swings for me. On especially hot days, I love to play with water either at the beach, in the backyard with the sprinklers, or in a pool! Actually, I love playing with water in any weather!
