For added security, the bed features zippered netting panel doors on both sides, each equipped with a safety locking mechanism accessible only from the outside.

The Safe Place Model 200 Permanent Bed is registered with the FDA as a Class 1 Medical Grade Device. The bed has been inspected and certified by HQAA and Medicare and offers 360 degrees of protection from falling out of bed and eliminates the 7 zones of entrapment.

The Mattress: each bed includes a custom-fit, 8-inch thick, CertiPUR US Certified Memory Foam Mattress with a waterproof cover. Designed for safety, 7 inches of the mattress sit below the frame's edge to prevent users from pulling it up, thereby eliminating entrapment risks.

The Frame: is solid Maple hardwood, handcrafted by the Amish in Ohio, offering exceptional durability and strength. Each frame undergoes rigorous quality checks before packaging. For enhanced safety and comfort, all posts and edges are padded. Choose between a Brown-Stained Frame with Black Padding or a White Painted Frame with White Padding.

The Cover: the bed's cover is crafted from 600D fabric, UL-tested for safety and quality, and is flame-retardant. This heavy-duty fabric completely encloses the bed, preventing access to the wooden frame from inside. Designed to move slightly on the rails and corners without loosening, the cover absorbs the force of body movement, extending its lifespan. It's available in a variety of colors and designs.

The Netting Doors and Windows: two long, netting zippered doors fold up providing easy entry and exit, along with ample caregiver access. For optimal airflow, there are two large netting windows at the bed's ends and one large netting window on top. An optional feeding tube access can be placed in the lower middle portion of the door.

The Zippers: heavy-duty, durable zippers are not accessible from inside the bed. All zippers lock from the outside for safety.

Optional Monitor Features: the optional integrated monitor provides 2K Ultra-HD resolution and outstanding night vision for clear, real-time visuals on its 5-inch display, even in low light. It uses a secure, direct connection with a 1500-foot range, requiring no Wi-Fi. Designed for convenience, it offers up to 30 hours of battery life (18 hours in on-screen mode), a 7-color night light, real-time sound and temperature alerts, and two-way audio for immediate responses.

The monitoring system is a great addition to the bed as it allows us to ensure our child is safe within the safe perimeter that the bed provides. I am able to see my child at night easily with the camera’s night vision mode and can even talk to him if need be. If he needs to be soothed, we can also turn the music and lights on and I can even monitor the temperature of his room with the system.
