Triaid Rear Steering Mechanism

The Triaid Rear Steering Mechanism allows the tricycle to be controlled by a parent or caregiver as they walk behind the tricycle. The Steering Mechanism is an easy and convenient way to offer help for both propelling and steering while giving the rider the impression that they are moving without assistance. When the handle is turned to the right or left it will turn the handlebars and front wheel of the tricycle to provide steering. The Control Pole can easily be removed if it is no longer needed or if the tricycle is being transported or stored. If additional control is needed, an Attendant Brake can be added to the Control Pole which allows the caregiver to slow the speed of the tricycle or stop it. This brake operates on the rear axle of the tricycle resulting in a smooth breaking effect. It also comes with a parking brake feature to ensure that the tricycle remains stationary as the rider moves on and off the tricycle. This is especially important if the rider requires assistance with transfers.

Please Note: The Triaid Rear Steering Mechanism is available for the Triaid Imp, Terrier, TMX and Tracker 20îand 24î tricycles. It must be installed at the time of manufacture.
