Freedom Concepts Chill-Out Chair Rock'er

The Freedom Concepts Chill-Out Chair Rock’er has a curved base for rocking. The Rock’er can be a perfect seating solution for users who seek movement while sitting. Rocking can provide a  calming influence for users who seek comfort for sensory issues and the motion of rocking provides input to the vestibular system which is important for brain development. The Rock’er is ideal for people of all ages and abilities. The Rock’er can also be locked into a stationary tilt position using the ottoman. Angle of tilt can be set to best address the user’s needs. It’s perfect chair for therapy settings, home or school. 

The Rock’er Chill-Out Chair is designed to be used with all body types. The patented Deep “V” Foam Design keeps users securely supported and comfortable to facilitate maximum engagement and participation. It also provides a light hugging pressure keeping the user gently in place while encouraging relaxation. Chill-Out Chairs come standard with an Ottoman to elevate legs. The Ottoman can also be used as a side table or a caregiver/therapist chair. Leg elevation can help reduce edema (swelling) of the lower legs and assist with leg circulation.

In Required Step 1, choose Size, Color and Foam Package. The Chillout Chair is offered in 5 different sizes: Small, Medium, Narrow Large, Large, Extra Wide Large. Please refer to the Size Chart in the Photo Gallery under the Main Product Image. The fabric that covers the chair is a buttery soft, easy to wipe vinyl with Endurepel™ Armour topcoat protection. Not only is this an easy to clean finish, it also has anti-bacterial and anti-mildew properties. Choose a fabric color using picture in the Photo Gallery under Main Product Image. Foam Package selections are as follows:

• Essential Foam Package is made of one foam density to offer great comfort and support for users weighing 100 lbs. or less. Standard One-Year Warranty.*
• Essential with Comfort Package This package provides a combination of foam densities with softer foams added in for even more cozy comfort for the head, knees and sides of the body. This provides added pressure relief and can improve circulation. Standard One-Year Warranty.*
• TEC Foam Package (Therapists’/Educator’s Choice) provides soft comfort, firm support and the best durability at all weights. The TEC Foam Package features memory foam in areas of high-friction (under the knees and head cradle) to increase comfort and eliminate pressure points. Standard Three-Year Warranty. *

Medbloc Liner is a heat-sealed liner that prevents moisture seepage and protects the hygienic integrity of the foam. It is provided as standard and is included in the price of the chair.

In Required Step 2, you may choose to add the 3-Point Pelvic Positioning Belt. The pelvic support pad is made of premium foam and covered in matching fabric. It is secured by three points of attachment and was designed for comfortable and secure support. Its large surface area disperses pressure across a broad area. Stabilizing the position of the pelvis is important to take advantage of the redesigned reclined angle of the chair and improve extension through the trunk. 

In Required Step 3, you may choose to add an Accessories Sleeve Pocket. The Large Size Pocket is sewn into the back of the chair and is perfect for storing items such as the 3-Point Foam Positioning Aids which are sold separately in the Accessories Section. The Small Size Pocket is sewn into the side of the chair and is great for storing portable electronics, adaptive communication devices and video players. You can choose to purchase both of these pockets or neither.

In Required Step 4, you may choose to add a Memory Foam Liner. The Liner adds an extra layer of foam for comfort. Please choose the size of the Memory Foam Liner that matches the size of the chair you are ordering.

In Required Step 5, you may choose to add a Removable Abduction Pommel. The Pommel separates the user’s legs and helps to encourage hip abduction (moving leg away from mid-line) and discourages scissoring (crossing legs). The pommel is attached to the Chill-Out Chair with strong Velcro straps and can be removed as desired.
