Buddy Roamer Gait Trainer

The Buddy Roamer is a posterior gait trainer/ walking aide offered in the USA by Pacific Rehab. The ergonomic frame is placed behind the user and provides safe and comfortable positioning using adjustable pelvic supports and hip guides, adjustable chest lateral supports, and a central positioning bar including a sit bar. Completely open front does not obstruct interaction with the environment or other people allowing the user to have hands-free interactions with their surroundings to learn, explore and discover. The Buddy Roamer is designed for young children through young adults with mild to moderate postural support needs. The frame allows easy access through doors and down hallways while providing excellent stability for exploration both indoors and out.

The Adjustable Dynamic Spring naturally supports vertical movement during the gait/walking pattern and is easily adjusted to suit individual needs. The center of gravity of the Buddy Roamer is well placed for stability and freedom of movement.

In Required Step 1 you will choose the Size of your Buddy Roamer. Please click on Size Chart tab for measurements. Please refer to the Photo Gallery under Main Product Image for a graphic to help with measuring. You will also select Lateral Chest Support with or without Shoulder Straps. And you will choose between a Standard Headrest 4 in. W x 6 in. H (10.2x15.2cm) and a Wider Headrest 9.5 in. W x 6 in. H (24.1x15.2cm).

In Required Step 2 you will have the opportunity to purchase the No Roll Back Option . This option prevents the gait trainer from rolling backwards or from being pushed backwards by the user. This can be important on inclines. It can also be important for users who tend to push backwards in the gait trainer due to high extensor tone and for beginners who are just learning about forward motion.

In Required Step 3 you will have the opportunity to purchase Front Caster Directional Swivel Locks. This option prevents the casters from swiveling so the gait trainer moves forward in a straight line. This feature is great for beginners and users who have difficulty steering due to motor control issues. Lock is easily engaged/disengaged.
