The Crocodile is a posterior (walker frame is behind user) walking aid for children and young adults with special needs who require supplementary assistance with walking. The Crocodile is light, effortless to fold and safe and easy to use. As standard, the Crocodile is delivered with handles, lockable wheels, anti-roll back and tension adjustment on rear wheels. Some individuals, who require minimal support, will be able to use the Crocodile without accessories as a basic posterior gait trainer. With a few optional accessories, however, the Crocodile can easily be customized to provide more comprehensive upper and lower body support for children and young adults with decreased balance, strength, and endurance. The Crocodile offers an unparalleled level of comfort and support for children and young adults that need to develop independent walking abilities.

The NEW Crocodile All-Terrain (AT) walking aid distinguishes itself from the standard Crocodile model primarily through its larger wheels with a bigger footprint and a deeper tread, specifically engineered for superior performance on rugged outdoor environments like dirt paths, gravel, and grass. While the standard Crocodile excels indoors or on smooth surfaces with its smaller, slimmer wheels, the AT variant provides enhanced stability, traction, and a more comfortable ride, empowering children to confidently explore diverse outdoor terrains and fostering mobility, balance, and postural control during adventures.

In Required Step 2 you will have the opportunity to choose Decelerating Handbrakes for Crocodile Sizes 1, 2 and 3 both Standard and All-Terrain models. Decelerating Handbrakes are NOT AVAILABLE for Size 0. Decelerating Handbrakes function like bicycle handbrakes and act to slow the forward motion of the gait trainer. This feature can be especially beneficial when walking down an inclined surface. Brakes can also function as parking brakes when locked into place.

Please Note:Adding the Decelerating Hand Brake to the standard Crocodile model eliminates the Anti-Reverse Wheel Stop function, which can be a concern for higher-functioning users walking on inclines. To retain both features, we recommend purchasing the Crocodile All-Terrain model.

Brakes can be added to the Standard Handles or they can be added to the Forearm Supports with Hand Grips. If Forearm Supports with Hand Grips are chosen, there is an additional optional accessory, Forearm Positioners, that can assist the user to keep their forearm in a weight bearing position on the support. Forearm Positioners are sold individually.

Please Note: If you do not want brakes but would like to purchase Forearm Supports with Hand Grips with or without one or more Forearm Positioners please do so in this Required Step.
