Rifton TranStander

The Rifton Supine Board has been expertly designed to maximize the therapeutic benefits of supine standing for children and adults with special needs. The result is the TranStander that comes with a crank handle that allows the stander to be lowered horizontally from 30" to 21" from the floor for wheelchair and other transfers.


The Rifton TranStander is specifically designed to provide superior support and stability for children with physical disabilities, 46"-72" (117-183 cm) tall, approximately ages 7 years to young adult. The Rifton 71" TranStander comes with a 14" Flip-away top that can be secured in place for a child who requires head support or flipped out of the way for a child that is learning to improve his head control. The Rifton TranStander will support a maximum of 200 lbs. (91 kg).

The Rifton TranStander can be positioned horizontally, vertically, and angle increments in between to provide customized weight-bearing support. The sturdy new curved S-frame design and easy adjustments help therapists and caregivers work more comfortably. Adjustable armrests are included to provide support if needed or can be collapsed to allow a child’s arms to be free to explore objects in his or her environment. Additional adjustments can be made to the support features of the TranStander as your child grows.

The Rifton TranStander is latex-free and easy to clean with regular cleaning products. This is just one of the many features that makes this special needs stander an invaluable therapy tool to use with multiple children in schools or therapy centers.
